EPA law requires that the crankcase breather be routed into the airbox to consume the 'dirty air' coming from blow by at the rings of the piston and ventilated out of the crankcase.

In 'racing' or 'off road only' applications re-routing the crankcase breather outside of the intake system will reduce intake air temperatures and help the engine ingest clean air only, increasing performance.

Use this crankcase blanking kit with your existing Rottweiler Intake System to block off the hole in the base plate and add an external filter.

The breather filter has a ring molded into it for easy zip tie securing at your place of choice.

Usually high on the bike or above the front sprocket.

NOTE: You must decide carefully where to place the crankcase filter vent as some engines, especially with worn balancer shaft seals may 'puke' oil which may saturate the crankcase filter and cause oil splatter or fire. Many route the breather as far up as possible, then down above the front sprocket. Roadracer's may be required to vent the crankcase to a 'catch can' to keep oil off of the track. On 1190/1290 engines, the crankcase breather comes off of the rear valve cover and is very short. It may be necessary to add som 5/8 ID hose to the line to route the breather to a suitable place of choice. Please be informed that this mod should only be performed by experienced mechanics or people that are very familiar with the practice of venting the crankcase externally.
